Now look who’s charging who; 1-0 for the SPs

sidebarimage-volleball.jpgRemember the ongoing net neutrality debate? More precisely, remember when recently, some ISPs and backbone operators said that they “deserve” a cut of Google’s, Yahoo!’s etc revenues with these looming payment demands hanging like dark clouds over the service providers?

While none of the service providers were understandably thrilled with this idea, we now have one that has dared to do the exact opposite: ESPN is charging the ISPs for the right to deliver their video content. See the below articles for a bit more info:

I find this hilarious. If their plan works, good luck to ISPs in trying to charge the service providers :)
